So suppose someone had a few old potatoes laying around and wanted to test the cooling abilities of a few methods...what program(s) do you recommend for overheating cpus/gpus of old intel potatoes?

I'd use Aida64, but there are other choices

Prime 95 for cpu and furmark for gpu. Two torture tests right there :)

i did this... i blocked off all the intake ports of a laptop and turned off the fan. i used aida 64, prime 95 and intelburn test. just to kill the laptop

honestly I'll probably do that to my 2002 asus but the main purpose is to se how long my school club can keep 4 dell optiplexs cool with liquid nitrogen(there was a shipping confusion with the nitrogen and a surplus of unmovable pcs etc etc)

Thanks for the idea! Gonna take the fan out of my Xbox 360 and cover the intake thingys and torture it now >:D , actually that fan could be good, ima use it :3

fair enough, it is fun destroying old pcs with things like this thow... i boiled water on a cpu ihs aswell.
