My SSD died...

So I'm assuming that if the bios doesn't even show a device plugged into it... the drive is pretty much toast... try'd plugging in to different SATA ports and used different SATA cables... ones that are known good... and that work with other drives... just not this SSD...

Corsair Force GT 240 gb and yes I try'd plugging in into a different PC... into the same port and with the same SATA cable that it's own HHD was plugged into...

Yeah, sounds pretty dead. But it could just be the controller chip and not the whole drive. R.I.P in any case :/

 

Were you a good boy and took your backups? :)

Do you have any reason to think it's dead?

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

Yeah, not to worried about it... it's still under Corsairs 3 year warranty... and the only thing that was really on was the OS and a few games that can easily be redownloaded... anything important is still on my exsteral hard drive... 

 

Side note though... Raid zero is a bitch though lol...

last thing i would try is (if you have a usb enclosure) is connect it to a usb port and see if it shows up in diskmgmt.msc

 

other than that, sorry for your loss
