Hey!

I have had some power outages lately and as I use my pc a lot from the outside, I decided I should probably set up Wake On Lan, also this is the first time me doing this.

I am running windows 10 home, and I have done everything I've read I should do. Bios setting, power options setting, power management setting on the device's proprieties. And I've experimented, I found some software that sniffed the magic packets and used it, the packets are surely arriving at the system.

But there are two things that are not adding up. First off, the "allow this device to wake the computer" checkbox goes blank when the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"(I have no idea in which situations) isn't checked (although if I check the other ones before they do stay checked), and also, the wake on lan property on the advanced tab isn't even there.

So, it is allowed in the bios, packets are being transmitted through the network, the mac address is the right one (ipconfig /all - on the ethernet part (also checked in the router's dhcp leases)), the orange light of the motherboard's ethernet port stays on when the pc shuts down, which all leads me to thinking it's the operating system that is causing this.

Thank you in advance :)
