Royal Kludge RK61 W/ Kahli blues

Tasuma

Hey all! I am looking for a 60% keyboard and saw this on mechanicalkeyboards.com, it is inexpensive, has Bluetooth, and RGB. Only issue I see is Kahli switches. How do they compare to blues? I don't want bandwagon, they are Chinese they suck I was trying to say I don't want bandwagon people saying because they are made in china they suck. I'd like someone who has used them and can offer proper feedback. I've read about the guts and what not. I am aware they are a cheap clone of Cherry blues.

You are jumping on the bandwagon. The Razer version of Kaihl switches, for whatever reason, tend to be terrible. The actual Kaihl brand switches are supposed to be quite good.

Pretty much the only bad knockoff switches out there right now from the 3 or so major brands are Razers. Gateron, Outemu, Kaihl, and Greetech (I'm sure there are one or two that I'm missing, but those are the major ones) are all very good, and are generally regarded as being better than their Cherry MX equivalents, particularly in the case of Browns and Linear switches in general, since almost all of them are much smoother than Cherry.

I wouldn't recommend anything but cherry for a clicky switch (blue/green). Non-clickly tactile and linear ok, but the Cherry design for making a switch click requires extra quality checking.

Even with Cherry MX blue switches I've got at least 2 keys that don't click uniformly on my 104 key work keyboard.

Ryzen 7 2700x | MSI B450 Tomahawk | GTX 780 Windforce | 16GB 3200
Dell 3007WFP | 2xDell 2001FP | Logitech G710 | Logitech G710 | Team Wolf Void Ray | Strafe RGB MX Silent
iPhone 8 Plus ZTE Axon 7 | iPad Air 2 | Nvidia Shield Tablet 32gig LTE | Lenovo W700DS

That's a laugh. Cherry QC has gone to shit for their newer clicky switches, that's why some of them don't click from the factory. For the most part, this is fixed with use, but it still sucks. Gateron, and all of the other brands that I've heard of (aside from Razer switches) have all had really good feedback from the community about their click switches.

Cherry just sucks nowadays, for the most part.

I'm not saying they suck, I've never used them.

I have the thermaltake mechanical keyboard with kaihl blues and it is a very nice solid keyboard. I am very happy with it and is 2+ years with no issues. I wouldnt hesitate to get kaihl switches again.
