Tone it down a little bit and try it again.. If it doesn't boot, that means that you're trying to OC it too much.

If you want to get the most out of your system, you're going to need to sit down and spend some time with it. There are 'fast' solutions like presets in the BIOS, but there's really no better way than spending time with it..

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

I have read the guides on haswell already and know how to do it. just dont have the time till the weekend was looking for a quick overclock and thought id try the presets for ounce(i never use the presets) but turns out they are junk i dont really understand why asus/ROG waste their time putting presets

Then that doesnt work...lol...

Just reset to stock and try ocing your self.

I just thought id try it and see if it would work but i guess not. So what is the point of asus/Rog spending time/money making these presets that dont work?

Like the others stated, it's best to do it yourself. Overclocking these days is so easy with an unlocked chip that there isn't any reason why you shouldn't do it yourself. Outside of setting up an XMP profile for your RAM, don't auto overclock.

What error codes you get? Have you got newest BIOS and newest versions on oc utilitys? I'm also for OCing yourself since presets are really mild compared to what you can get.
