hey I'm in need of a deal on a cpu and mobo, I know I can part something together but I wanna try and get a deal on a better performance bundle.

You can go to http://pcpartpicker.com/ and view a CPU, it will tell you the combos they have available. 

Different PCPartPickers for different countries:

You can check Craigslist or eBay for used processor+mobo combos.
