Computer shuts off but fans and LEDs stay on...hmm

ZK022219

Hello,

Hope i can make a new topic for this without breaking any rules. Some forums do like new topics?

Anyway, i just finally finished everything on my rig and when i shut the computer down sometimes itll shut off sometimes (most the time) the computer shuts off but fans, watercooler and leds all stay on. its very annoying. theres only one thing left i can swap out and thats the mobo. i know its not windows because i have installed windows 7, 8.1 and 10 all fresh installed and does it on all of them. win 7 is a little different though. for win 7 it stays at the shutting down part for hours then shuts off and fans stay off. its weird. i have cleared cmos a few times as well still nothing. any direction or input would be appreciated.

Updated part list:

intel i7 6700k

asus maximus viii hero

samsung 950 pro m.2

2x samsung 850 evo 500s

evga supernova 750 g2

rog dual panel front base

Avexir core 32gb DDR4

rajintek dual 120mm water cooler

asus r9 390x strix

win 10 pro

cosmos se case

etc etc.

thanks in advance

i will try and post a video of it.

dont mind that random fan

My computer does the same thing too, I think it has to do with Windows' Hybrid Sleep but don't quote me. Perhaps disable that?

I'm actually encountering sort of the same thing. In the past two days I've shut off my computer the display turns off but the whole computer keeps running (fans, water pump, LEDs, lights on MOBO). I'm on Windows 10.

I will let you know as soon as I figure out a solution. I just did an RMA on my board, so if that fixes it I will let you know as well. Do you have asus board that this is happening on?

This happens to me at random. When shutting down I stand by it for a couple of seconds to ensure it boots all the way down.

Also on windows 10.
