Windows 10 with windows 7 key?

yup

but dont do the upgrade because its a waste of time

 

put windows 10 on a USB and clean install windows 10

then activate it with the windows 7 key

Yes. Upgrading a valid 7 OS to 10 is free.

Yes. Not forever, of course, I believe the free upgrade period ends in June, but until then yes.

I thought you couldn't activate W10 with a W7 key

Personally would just get window 10 keys because you have to buy it after a year unless you gonna buy it again. It only like ~10 dollars difference.

It's not free for one year it's free forever as long as you upgrade within the one year time period, not even sure where you find this misinformation about it being only free for one year period.

It's free to upgrade to for one year, if you upgrade within that year you get to keep it forever (for free).
