Project ProdiGOD

Just a little info to everyone following. I will be going on a trip with my class for a week, and will be home friday. Therefore, no updates the next weeks time. Sorry

My progress so far: The backpanel is cut to size and fits the rest of the case, now i just need to sand it down. The same goes for the motherboard tray. Everything is almost ready to be prepped for paint, but that will fist be done when i get home.

I will continue when i get home, again i'm sorry for the delay. To make it better, here are some eye candy

Fitting the PSU

Kinda done.

Here are some pictures of my progress today. It was really a pain the butt to drill the holes for the psu screws, since i kinda had to eyeball it. It ended up good enough so im happy with it. :) It was also a close fit!

I have added some small "feet" under the psu to elevate it from the bottom of the case, and giving it some support. I used the kind of soft sticky things you put under furniture to prevent it from scratching the floor. Forgot the name of them, but they work. I used 4 of them to make it a little bit under 1 cm thick, and then made 3 more. i didnt get a picture of it sadly, but i might do it tomorrow if some of you are curious ;) ANYWAY here it is

I also want to note that the old hardware is just for test fitting!  :D

Got a LAN coming up this Friday so i need to get it done this week! hory sheet  :o  :o  :o

Here is the picture i forgot to take:

Ready for paint

I'm all done sanding the parts, and they are ready for some paint tomorrow!  :D

I will be spraying very very light coats on the parts over a long period of time to give it a powder coat effect. I saw someone on the forum who did it. Should turn out nice.

3dRi4uY.jpgCZhPPq5.jpg

Cleaning the surface with some tissue and rubbing alcohol. It's incredible how dirty it is after sanding  :P

Thx everyone! I'm amazed how the subs just exploded. I'm painting the parts at this very moment. Waiting for the primer to dry.

It's so freaking windy outside that the paint blows into my face. But i shall not let that stop me :D

Paint and assembly

I know some of you have been excited about this update so here it is! I'm all done paiting and it turned out pretty nice.

It's not perfect but i can definately live with it  ;)

I screwed up bigtime while painting. I had just finished laying the last coat on my backplate, and then i hung it up for drying. Guess what happens next. Shit falls to the ground and bends out of shape while getting dirt all over it. Oh wait! I'm not done yet. I decide to continue paiting the other parts, and then i do the exact same thing once again. I think i lost my brain somewhere. Must be the fumes making me retarded. Anywho, it is now done, and i'm currently putting it all back together. Next update will be tomorrow! The FINAL update.

Yea, i might do that. Right now i got some very strong double sided tape between the tray and the bottom of the case. There is still some flex on the tray, but when i install the motherboard, it gets more stiffen out. I dont want to do any unnessesary strain on the MB, so i might do something about it. :)
