Question about youtube uploading

I know people say when your first starting out you should upload at certain times so more people can see it. My question when does youtube count my video is "uploaded"? If I do a unlisted upload from media encoder then make it public the next day, did I miss my time of being in the "most recent uploads" or whatever it is that makes you get views when you first upload a video?

I have found that it does make a difference. Perhaps not when you have a larger sub count/audiance but for me I only have around ten subs (just started a week ago) and if I upload late at night I get less then ten views, If I upload in the late afternoon/evening I get around 30-40

Well bear in mind that could be that your audience has all gone to bed so nobody sees the notification

I guess that Could be true. Guess I'll find out for sure in the coming months :).

or in a few hours?
because some people will be sleeping at certain times so they may not watch right when you upload but they will watch the next day

Total. As i said, I dont really have a following yet, so MOST of my views I assume are from the most recently uploaded.

ive never heard of people browsing most recent uploaded, since there are thousands of videos uploaded every minute, but whatever...

Then to be honest im not sure where they are coming from.

 

I'm not saying that im right, you are most likely correct. I'm just saying I am unaware of how else my videos would show up unless someone randomly searched bctopics. But without a following (as I said I have about 10 subs) I'm not sure how people would do that.

they show up on the "recommended" tab on the right

you can check your analytics and see exactly where people are coming from, i remember being able to see that
