3DS Audio -> PC?

Helepolis

Is there a way to get my Nintendo 3DS Audio to play through my PC speakers/headphones? I just want to be able to use both my PC and 3ds at the same time without having to switching my headphones between devices when I'm gaming late at night. Maybe do things like turn off the in game music and play my own, or just have something to occupy myself while I wait in a game lobby.

Currently using a Creative ZXR soundcard and windows 10

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance!

might be if you have a line in or something on that sound card, thats the only thing i can think of

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

You can connect the 3DS to your PC via an aux cable.

Just plug one end into your 3DS and the other end into the line-in on your sound card. I don't know if your ZXR has a line-in, but your onboard sound most likely has one.

It will be a bit clunky, but it will work.

You would need to have some sort of device that has audio in (like a DAC or a soundcard) so you can do that.

The ZXR does have Audio in via RCA (L/R). Would it be a simple plug and play with the appropriate cable, or will I have to tweak some settings?

It should be plug 'n play. You just have to check the ´line-in´ option in the Windows mixer, and the you just set the volume to your liking.

You should be able to connect the 3DS with a male TRS to male RCA cable:
