Depending on your programs, ninite.com is a website where you can get all of them in one installer and they update automatically with 1 installer without bloatware.

nothing particularly right now, but I have a ton of things all interconnected and if one thing start bugging out my whole rig gets screwed up and live events are waiting on me to (usually) update drivers by finding each and every one. see my problem?

its not applications, its hardware drivers. and I guess some software drivers too. but that site is for application installers.

because things get updates my friend.

what things are you talking about

stuff like USB devices or peripherals dont need to be updated if they work already

the driver updates are for bug fixes and additional compatibility on newer hardware such as a newly released motherboard

I have Iobit Advanced System care with Driver booster. It download drivers updates..

Before Iobit used uniblue driver downloader.

Getting old is wonderful, when you consider the alternative.

does it ever give you any trouble?

For now, I use like 5+ months, no problem. In past used uniblue for fresh reinstaled OS, install windows,>install network>Uniblue, click driver download, go drink coffe, back and all  done. :)

In worst case scenario, I use driver identifier to scan hardware and get hardware numbers/codes and check for drivers manually via google. :)

sir you can try GPU-Z to get more details in your GPU..

I have already fixed the problem. Read the model number on the bottom of the gpu and turns out it's an 8800gt. Do you think I could upgrade it to a 470? My cpu is core 2 quad q6600 @2.4 Ghz

yep i had a intel core 2 quad and 8gb ram with a gtx 960. No problems in games. Just make sure have more than 4gb memory

an overclock to 3ghz on your q6600 would go a long way too.

mobo doesnt support overclocking :( .

Not when it doesn't have the latest tested drivers like the crappy MS issue SATA driver its using which is possibly responsible for all the lock up I've been having in windows 10 because it's been sending reset commands to the hard drive.
