4k TV questions

Hey guys,

 

If I got a 4k tv, would what exatly would i be able to watch in 4k. Can I watch cable in it? With the cable box and everything? IK about netflix and stuff. Just unsure about the actual TV part of it.

You also want to make sure it supports HDCP 2.2 or whatever it is for full 4k support. This applies to every device in your HDMI chain. Otherwise things like 4k netflix and other 4k stuff will get angry. (Some tv's only have this on some of the HDMI ports they are marked usually).

At the moment most stations do not broadcast in 4K. Having said that though, 4K TV's have upscallers in them to convert sub 4K content to 4K. The more expensive the TV, generally the better the scaller is.
