Which TV for a monitor.

max_headroom

Preface:  I know monitors are "better" than hdtvs so please don't convince me to buy a monitor.

I'm currently using a 7 year old Westinghouse 36" 1080p tv for my gaming rig.  I know... I know.  That's enough! :D

Anyways, it has a nasty green line running across it and its time to replace it.  I don't want to spend more than $300 and size matters :D

Here are my choices:

http://www.costco.com/Vizio-32"-Class-(31.5"-Diag.)-1080p-Smart-LED-LCD-TV-E32-C1.product.100158782.html  $220.

http://www.costco.com/TCL-40"-Class-(40"-Diag.)-1080p-Roku-LED-LCD-TV-40FS3750.product.100178391.html  $260.

I'd rather buy from Costco because of their warranty.  I play mostly Crysis and GTA 5.  I have a 4690K, 8gb ram, ssd and GTX 960 2gb.  I know my card is kind of the bottleneck now but I'll wait for Pascal.

However, my current monitor/tv sucks and I would like to replace it.

Let me know which would be better.

Between the two you have selected from Costco, I would go with Vizio even though I don't know either Vizio or TCL. Choosing this one because it's smaller in size, hopefully slightly less distortion in image quality. I would suggest you go to Costco and have a look at it though...in person..
