Having some issues with my pretty new EVGA 980ti SC. The card is in my custom loop, an while under load will whine a fair bit. It's loud enough to be heard through the side panel. It grows when i try to overclock the card. Is this an issue that can be fixed by myself, or is it RMA worthy? Let me hear it LTT Comm.

I have the same graphics card and it did the same thing when I first installed it. It went away after I downloaded drivers for it though and never heard it since. Try reinstalling the drivers for it and see if that solves the issue.

Ill give this a try, thanks for the constructive feedback.

@Underachiever101 Mine whines, all i did to fix mine was turn Vsync on. From what i know its caused by your card making to many frames :P

Yeah chances are it would only do that in things like game menus because it's trying to crank out something like 200 fps. Reinstall drivers, turn v sync on, and if those don't work you should be able to set a frame rate limiter in software to cap it out depending on your monitor's refresh rate.

Asus P8Z77-V PRO

OCZ 650W PSU

Nvidia GTX 760 SSC 2GB

Corsair Carbide 500R

SanDisk PLUS 120GB SSD

Seagate Barracuda 500 GB HDD
