5820k @ 4.3Ghz with 1.199V...

Is this considered a decent result? I dont want to push it harder as I have a peasant cooler, the nhd-15 :P

I hope that 1.99V is a typo...... I'm suprised your PC isn't on fire.

Well yea it's fine then.  You could probably go even higher.  Just don't go over 1.35V.

Yea.  The NH-D15 performs close to 240MM watercoolers.

that is a pretty high voltage for a quad core man :o

It's OK, maybe a tiny bit above average.

Skylake can handle up to 1.4-1.45v 24/7 if you have good cooling.

No not actually, not for a skylake since the voltage regulators are on the mobo instead of the cpu so it allows for up to around 1.4 to be safe :) Besides im running it in adaptive so it only works when i am playing so its ok, and I got an AIO cooler

ah ok, nice. I doubt x99 can be pushed that far though. online I saw that a max of 1.3 v is recommended on x99 chips.

nice, that is a decent clock on the chip then. Grats on the silicone lottery :)

I'm at 4.3ghz @1.25v, though my temps are a little higher than I'd like. Is your system completely stable at 1.199 volts? I'd love to undervolt a little bit and drop my temperatures.

I had it validate with prime 95 all night. it didnt die so i guess it is stable, I have a rampage 5 extreme though, so I guess the low voltage could be attributed to that ;)

Congratulations! You have won the Silicon Lottery! Time to push harder! (Until 1.3v)

NEED X58 BOARD WITH SATA3 ASAP

I got 4.6 @ 1.250 V, but the temps are annoying. it is hitting mid 80s on prime 95... should I Dial it down to 4.3?

EDIT: 4.6 was unstable at 1.250, dailed it back down to 4.4 with 1.210 and it seems stable... thus far :P
