Hey guys, found this page. I don't know how many of you like Nvidia and how many like amd BUT

http://www.techtimes.com/articles/133518/20160214/nvidia-pascal-gpus-edging-closer-to-release-4-different-graphics-cards-currently-in-testing.htm

I think Christmas might come early this year! however... from what I see so far AMD is only releasing before the school starts (for people that go to school) and looks like it will be abit later then Pascal.

Also I am intrested because this time AMD is with Samsung, that should have some fun results in my opinion.

P.S. if you wanna start a fight which one is better, GTFO this thread, both are good. Thank you.

Well, most likely. Well they are releasing their Titan so that should set a benchmark for 980ti equivalent(take 10-20%). I am aiming a bit lower, somewhere between gtx 960-970 depending on the price of course.

Why would a Titan be equal to a 980 Ti? Titan X is currently superior to it.

Hopefully comes out right at the time when got enough money to buy a 980 ti or least within that timeframe more or less, my gtx 480 won't be able to handle the division :P

You should keep it for a spare oven if your main one ever breaks. :P

I wanted the 980 Ti when it came out but never got around to buying it, I am sitting on a ATI HD 5770 1GB which struggles to play anything from Dx10 or higher. So I'm determined to get a new rig this year with the latest and coolest bells and whistles, really excited to play games with at least 1080 Ultra or hell, might even go a new monitor as this monitor is dying on me.

I'm interested to see if AMD being at a process node 2nm smaller than Nvidia will make a noticeable difference to performance.

I'm interested in what it might do to the price of the 900 series. You likely pay a big premium as early adopter of Pascal.

That is the trend for pretty much any new series - they'll release a Titan first, and then trickle it down. If the 980 Ti and 780s are anything to go by, they'll release a slightly lower end product that is significantly cheaper than the Titan.

Right, new video for Linus, reroute the whole room water cooling into radiators to heat the offices in winter. :D

Same, will pickup a second eVGA GTX980ti Hybrid.

Personally I think it'll be like Skylake, it was a 14nm die shrink but it wasn't that much of a improvement, that being said the move to HBM2 might make a bigger difference.

Only time will tell...:D

To be honest with you, I am not to sure about the prices, because its very rare we see the manufacturer droping price... Maybe second handed will be cheaper but I don't think we will see a huge price drop on Maxwell. also as article stated, it will have more processing power then graphical (so obviously aming for virtual reality, they ofc said its x10 times stronger and faster, in reality I am HOPING to see maybe dobble the performance and that's a big MAYBE.

never the less, it should be good.

Apart from what AMD is doing this year (Zen) hardware seems a bit stale these days, its always the same old, there hasn't been no new inovation around GPUs for a while.

Software and ARM seem to be the most exciting features of this year.

Oh how I miss the times I used to get excited for new hardware and there was actually competition

True, but retailers might drop them anyway. Here in Brazil the 700 Series got slashed by a quarter of the price when the 900 came.

Well, I just got my 970, maybe getting another one will get much easier.
