Mechanical Keyboard for school

Go to solution Solved by JORDANonPC,

I wouldn't recommend it unless you have o-rings on the keyboard you will likely annoy people when you bottom out otherwise

Would it be a good idea to bring a mechanical keyboard to school which will be used with my laptop? The typing experience is just to good for at home use because I do most of my typing at school.

Can someone recommend me a short keyboard preferably with Cherry MX Brown switches? Thanks a ton!!!!

(I am in high school for those wondering)

My build: i5 3570k , Sabertooth Z77, Be quiet Dark Rock 2, Corsair vengeance 16 gb ram, Corsair RM 750, WD Black 1TB , ADATA 256 GB SSD, Asus 660ti DCUII, NZXT H440, Noctua NF-F12 & NF-A14.

I would love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

You really want to risk taking a mech keyboard to school?

Suppose it would be good for beating to death people who try to steal it lol

uh if they are allowed in your high school most colleges or high schools do not allow use of mechanical keyboards due to the noise they make it may distract the other people in the class or around you maybe something like a quickfire TK if they do allow you.

I really wouldn't bring a mech keyboard to school, because you can annoy people really easily with them...

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

CM Storm Quickfire Stealth is pretty small and can easily be transported. For your own sake I recommand that you take the quietess switches available, people will want to kill you if you make 'tak tak tak tak' when typing. MX Brown are 'quieter' than blues, but still pretty noisy and not very respectful to use in public if you ask me. ;)

Huh, alrighty then I'll take your people's advice and NOT bring a mech keyboard to school. Thanks and have a good one!

You could get something like This with reds or blacks. Those at least wouldn't be too loud, and the keyboard would be small.
