980 Ti is actually better than the Titan X

Also, if you have no budget why don't you run 980 Ti in 4 way SLI?

Because I want great performance, but SLI doesn't increase the performance enough to justify buying 3 more cards.

If I say I have no budget, it means that I can always get a little more money if the performance's worth it, but it doesn't mean I have a milion dollars to get 4 Quadros or whatever

The Step Up program won't do him any good since it's doubtful the Pascal cards will be out by mid May. But the customer service is always a great reason to pick EVGA. They're the only OEM I know who will let you replace the cooler and they also allow custom BIOS as long as you have a dual BIOS card.

Never know. Better to be covered than not covered. And there's no need for a 1440 monitor with a 980ti, I feel no need to get one. Just use DSR to run the games in 1440 and profit, literally xD

If anyone asks you never saw me.

My 970 can get close to max settings at 1080p60 with those games, but not completely. I have to turn some settings down a bit to prevent annoying frame drops. For me consistency is everything. I'd rather have a solid 30 fps then jumps between 50-60. Long answer short, if you really want that solid 60 fps and completely max settings, you'll want a 980 ti

Unfortunately, no GPU on the market currently can do Witcher 3 or GTA V at solid 60 FPS at 1080P.

With everything maxed out, you'll get around 50-70 fps. Apparantly hairworks is a bitch and GTA V's advanced settings destroys everything.

I suggest you either wait for polaris/pascal or get dual 980 Ti's.

Are you kidding me? I saw a test with two 980 Ti's running Witcher 3 at max details at 4K at nearly 50 FPS, and 1080p is MUCH less needy

Games are out of control. The Division needs a overclocked 970 to run it at 60fps, the 390 might not even handle it overclocked. That's why the added comfort of overkill is so nice.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Added some detail on my original post. Hairworks has a giant FPS hit apparently. Fluctuates the FPS a lot. Main thing I'm annoyed about is the below 60 fps dips which does happen.

Early on there are dips.

This one looks fine.

Definitely have dips.

And a benchmark.
