GTX 280 Shutdown Temp

the restart temp should be a lot higher than that. they normally downclock themselves before doing anything like shutting down. Do you notice a drop in fps/ performance before it does shut down? because if not, it might be just not be getting enough power...

Well if U R dumb enough to test a GTX 280 in FurMark and NOT watch VRM temperatures - Yes, it is normal thing.

RAM : 4x Patriot Viper Steel 4000MHz CL16 @ 3042MHz CL12.12.12.24 CR2T @1.48V.
GPU : Titan Xp Collector's Edition (Empire)
M.2/HDD : Samsung SM961 256GB (NVMe/OS) + + 3x HGST Ultrastar 7K6000 6TB
DAC : Motu M4 + Audio Technica ATH-A900Z
PSU: Seasonic X-760 || CASE : Fractal Meshify 2 XL || OS : Win 10 Pro x64

Core temp 70 degree. VRM temp ~75 degree. With performance everything looks good and then pc restarts. PSU - Modecom MC 530 Carbon. 530W with original PCI-E 6 pin connector and 8 pin adapter/connector (From molex to PCI-E 8 pin). 12V1 - 17A and 12V2 - 17A.
