For clarification, I'm talking about putting an Android emulator on my PC, not emulators that run on android.
Right now I'm using Andy, but it's got some quirks and I'm wondering if it's really the best option. I'm also aware that there's at least one Android x86 project in the works. If that's any good I'd be willing to give that a shot.
You guys got experience with this? Any tips or tricks?

I'm not against paying for it, as long as I know the website is legit.

BlueStacks is probably the best option. VirtualBox/VMWare is another option, idk how it performs though.
