Looks good to me. Power supply looks like overkill but it's pretty cheap.

So you'll be using the APU for games until you decide on a discrete GPU?

was thinking of adding this in the near future http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007RFYEQW/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B007RFYEQW&linkCode=as2&redirect=true&ref_=as_li_ss_tl&tag=c09_11-20

here is what I would get http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1BFS1

The cpu is an A10-5800k with the igpu off and the 6800k is just an overclocked 5800k

how bout this, I know I just changed the memory, but it's slightly faster and the price is only about $20 more

+1. Good idea.

APU's are very dependent on the speed of the RAM.

the 6800k has better overclocking capabilities and better voltage control. It is a lot better.

From his position though he won't be able to do much overclocking. The motherboard and stock cooler will hold him back.

Btw, can i use this build without the gpu for a few days? Will the pc still run?

No I belive that its doesnt have a dedicated iGPU, you need a gpu of some description.

6800k only narrowly beats the 5800k in gaming. You can pair it with 2133 mhz ram for some gpu increase if you can. Otherwise a 5800k + 1866mhz ram would be nice. With the money saved you might be able to buy a H 212 Evo and slightly overclock the APU to give some more performance.
