Graphic card for anceint monitor but relatively new system

Hi,

This is the monitor I currently have http://www.pcworld.com/product/23544/ultrasharp-1905fp-....
Its ideal resolution is 1024 x 768. The resolution it suggests gets all blurry so i don't use that.

Other PC specs :- CPU - I7 4770 @ 3.40 Ghz http://specsen.com/cpu-intel/intel-core-i7-4770-haswell...
Kingston 4 GB RAM DDR3 @665Mhz ( 9-9-9-24)
Mobo - Intel DH87RL http://motherboards.specout.com/l/948/Intel-DH87RL
Hard disk 500 GB @7200 RPMhttp://www.pc-specs.com/storage/Seagate/ST500DM002-1BD1...
Wind 8.1 pro
PSU -300W

I want to play games like GTA 5, Star Wars battlefront, Fallout 4, Witcher 3 all the latest, most demanding titles.

Since my monitor is so outdated it wouldn't make sense to get a very costly GPU like the R9 390 or GTX 970 which are ideal for 1080p.

So what GPU do i need to run all the latest games at the highest settings bearing in mind my monitor's ideal resolution is 1024 x 768.

I don't want to upgrade my monitor just yet, as it functions perfectly fine.

However, i am aware that i will have to upgrade my RAM, PSU, SSD, and GPU which i am okay with.

My budget is around $700-$900.

Thank you for your time. :)

You're not gonna play with 4 gigs of RAM... Upgrade to at least 8GB. A GTX 970 will be definetely fine :)

1. SSD 2. GPU 3. Monitor ...

That's the order I would go.

SSD make a Clean Install..

Then go for the 380 with 4GB or the 960 with 4GB.

And then buy a 1080 Monitor they are around 150$-200$

Why do u guys think I need to get a new monitor when my old one is still working fine? It's outdated sure, but nothing wrong with it.

And yes I'll obviously be upgrading my RAM and getting a SSD. But what about the GPU?
