Hello, I was planning to build a PC this coming month with theses specs. Is it good enough? I'm not planning to play on 4K or OC the specs of my PC. Please suggest something better if possible with the budget of 1.5KUSD. Btw, the currency in the attached picture is Philippine Peso, thanks. :)

ps: also help me with finding a good monitor with theses specs and also some good gaming peripherals, thanks :)

The i5 4690 isn't compatible with the H170. I'd recommend the i5 6500 or 6600 instead.

Meh PSU. A 500W SeaSonic or XFX would work better.

Still incompatible.

The i5 4690 is Haswell. The Z170 is Skylake.

If you're going Z170, you might as well go for the i5 6600K for overclocking. Otherwise, there's no point on spending more money on the mobo.

The i5 6400, 6500 or 6600.

Pick whichever you can afford.

wait, a z97 can handle a haswell proc right?

Yes but the i5 4690 is a non-K CPU and cannot be overclocked.

No point in getting the Z97 if you can't overclock the CPU. The H97 is your best option.

thanks, btw, would a liquid cooled cpu still be better with a stock cooler since i will not be overclocking it?

It'll cool the CPU better but there's no point since you cannot overclock it. The only real benefit is that it'll be more quieter.

Just grab a cheap air cooler like the CRYORIG H7, beQuiet! PURE ROCK or CM Hyper 212 EVO and you should be fine.

The stock cooler is also fine as well, but it will be more noisy than an aftermarket cooler.

I think I'm going for a skylake since ddr3s might phase out in the next years leaving me more spending on upgrades.

Pretty good. All the problems have been worked out. One thing that you should note is that the 2800 speed memory is completely unnecessary.  Just go for 2133. Also there was not a up cooler included in the parts list. I know that you have been recommended the Hyper 212 ego and you considered using the stock cooler but I would get the nhl9i from noctua. Since you won't be overclocking I don't think that the 212 is nessisary. The nhl9i is a low profile cooler but it is a good cooler for stock and moderately overclocked CPUs. It is also WHISPER quiet.  Amazing cooler. There is also announced their variant that uses a larger heatsync and heat pipes. It's called the nhl9 ad there is a tower variant called the nhu9b. Take a look.

quick question, i think i'll go and overclock my pc so i'll go for an  Intel Core i5-6600K 3.50-3.90GHz Skylake and an  MSI Z170A Gaming M3  and replacing the r9 390 with a gtx 970 since overclocking that 390 might be a problem for me. I'll also be buying a Corsair H110i GTX Hydro Series CPU Cooler. Is it a good build?

Good build.

Just curious on why you changed to a R9 390 since both perform about the same when overclocked.

I've read that the R9 390 can fry up an egg when it's overclocked.

Yeah, that's not true...

Just avoid ASUS or GIGABYTE for the R9 390 and you'll be fine for overclocking.
