5th gen i3 vs AMD A10 for laptop video production

Real quick, my young cousins parents contacted me today to ask about buying him a laptop that he can make videos on (minecraft and whatever). They obviously want to keep the cost as low as possible. A10 and i3 low end laptops are similarly priced, so which one will perform better for what my cousin is trying to do? My inclination is to go with the AMD laptop because more cores + better graphics performance, but I'm not 100% on it.

if hes doing gaming, go with the a10.  it should perform better in most games

Look for general reviews of laptops in your price-range and decide which fits your needs best... a small gain in graphics could be offset in other ways or visa versa..
