1 MS on a TN is like 5 MS on an IPS.  Neither are real values and are inflated by maximum values of grey to grey (G2G) transitions.

Both a TN and IPS having a 1 ms response time from overdrive (5 ms on an IPS) will suffer from rather serious overdrive overshoot issues, although the TN will have more inverse ghosting if pushed to 1 ms than an IPS will when pushed to 5 ms.

The TRUE average response time for a 5 ms IPS with decent overdrive controls is around 8 ms.

the TRUE average response time for a 1ms TN panel with relaxed overdrive controls to limit inverse ghosting is around 5 ms.

Hope this helps someone.

If u only play for fun and some competitive matchmaking then get IPS because im sure u do other stuff on PC too.

If you were planning on going pro you would get a decent 144hz with 1ms to cut any little disadvantages (no matter how small or unnoticable, u as a player want to be the last thing to be responsible for your reaction time).

I have easily killed people with lower ingame ping then mine anyway (difference over 30ms).
