Math puzzle

Gregrs

brownie points to anyone who can solve this puzzle.

A farmer dies, and his 4 sons inherit ALL of his land. The land has 4 trees (T) and 4 ponds (P), each son gets 1 tree and 1 pond. However, their land must be divided into congruent figures.

For example, someone can't have an L shaped land and the other one has a square piece of land.

This is what the puzzle looks like.

Can it be divided into however many pieces of land as we want as long as they are all congruent, or does it need to be 4 pieces?

All of the land must be used up. So all 36 boxes must be owned by someone.
