New or Used Car? your thoughts

threadysparrow

Where I live used car prices are all over the place so used if we're talking about an old car but if it's a relatively new car with 40000 kilometers I'l get a new one because the price difference is not much and I might get a bit more out of the new one

My father and I share a 2000 Focus which we got new. When school isn't in I take care of a friends 95 civic because his family lives out of state. Sine all I drive is used cars I guess I would have no problem drive a complete strangers car.

New if it's affordable, used if it's not.

They both can be a nightmare, with a new car you have a dealer warranty, with a used car you don't (though the seller may offer a warranty but from my experience they may as well not bother).

On the used side make sure it has a full service history and you can't go far wrong.

I only like basic amounts of tech in cars eg. power windows. Most of the other crap they deem as 'safety features' like having to have the clutch in and in 1st gear to start the car.

Of course you have to be careful when buying a 2nd hand car, because you might not know what may be wrong with it, and then next minute you have to spend $1000 fixing it up.

But still, I prefer used cards.

what kind of safety feature is that you do that on pre year 2000 car and that thing humps like the devil itself

this is one of the greatest thing that has happened to me recently, and it happened on this forum, those involved have my eternal gratitude http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/198850-update-alex-got-his-moto-g2-lets-get-a-moto-g-for-alexgoeshigh-unofficial/ :')

i use to have the second best link in the world here, but it died ;_; its a 404 now but it will always be here
