GPU vRAM companies?

Generally speaking, what's the best gpu vRAM manufacturer? I've owned 2 gpus (EVGA 750 TI and EVGA 970) and ones had Samsung memory and the 970 I have now uses elpida. Are there any difference between quality of the manufacturers and their Overclocking abilities?

Sk Hynix and Samsung are usually preferred.

sk hynix and samsung are better , because elpida gddr5 tends to be a poor clocker

I believe SK Hynix and Samsung are generally better. Elpida is ok but the others are usually better.

What everyone else said lol. I remember siffting through GPUs expecualy with 290s and sending back the ones with elpida. Ive literaly never had as much of an ass pain with cards generaly the ones with elpida always have issues. Be it performance or general stability...

yeah my 970 has elpida and it seems pretty stubborn so far. I've pushed it up to 1900 but I have a feeling that it will artifact really hard beyond that
