My First PC build HELP!

I want to build my first PC. I was wondering if you guys can help me pick the parts. My budget is $300(not including windows!). I want to use this pc for games like minecraft and video editing. I am aware that this buget will not give me the poformence ill need. Thats ok because I just want a basic pc that able to be upgraded.

Thanks!

"Upgraded" is going to hurt you a bit imo. Most budget builds use AMD processors, but if you upgrade you'll want an Intel 1150/51 CPU, making you get a new motherboard (and maybe even RAM). Also, investing in something like an SLI mobo (or crossfire if you want to go AMD) will probably make your mobo a bit more pricy. If I were you I'd save up to at least $400 before buying anything.

If you could spend $100~150 more it will make a huge difference

Thanks! Do you know of a $400 build?

Check out this PC build on pcpartpicker.  It comes to $464, but you can still save some by getting a slightly cheaper CPU cooler and only 4 gig of RAM (upgrade later).  You are NOT going to get a GREAT computer for this price, but it will get you gaming :)

P.S.  I believe you can get a copy of Windows (student version) through your school for around $60 - $80, or you could try Linux for free...

And the lack of a GPU. I mean, it has an APU, but APU+GPU and CPU+GPU is better. A single APU is a piece of ç)*[

Well you can't really fit a GPU into such a cheap build
