lol this thread went well..

 

some manufacturers enabled non-Z overclocking on their H/B series boards. it's not part of the official intel spec, a lot of h81 boards have a volt limit of 1.2

 

a quick google will show quite a lot. instead of sitting in the dark and being a bit dense when multiple people are showing you otherwise @lawrencebarnes2013

Well of course they can! My second system's g3258 is at 4.4 on a b85 mobo as we speak
