Working on my friends laptop but for some strange reason the wireless icon in the bottom right of the screen takes at least 4-5 minutes to load in, any idea what's going on here??

Thanks in advance :)

Reinstalling windows is generally the fastest solution to problems with windows.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Alas, this isn't an option for this either. Thanks fot the comment though! :)

Should keep storage on 2 partitions, a small one for windows in case reinstalling is needed, and long term storage on the secondary one so data isn't lost.

Also does it still have the charms/widgets if you go to the top right of the screen with the mouse or swipe in from the right? because wireless should be there as well.

Ok, I know 3 WiFi issues in win 10:

1) Upgrade Issues, fixed by this: LINK

2) Metro UI bugs with apps, fixed by this: LINK

3) Simple Icon add to Task Bar, fixed by this: LINK

Hope you find what you are looking for.

Also, 4) a drivers issues, fixed by this: make sure you have the manufacture one not windows 10 ones!
