Asus RoG PG278Q

stealth80

Just received this monitor a few hours ago and I've had a few issues.

No1 - On arrival it flickered like crazy on the desktop, sort of a pulsing flicker, especially after changing the refresh rate. Was fine for a little while, although I just changed the refresh rate through 60, 120 and 144h and its doing it again although very subtle.

No2 - Gsync is permanently enabled, ive tried some fixes that should work, set global to ULMB in driver and setting application settings to GSYNC. The gsync disables under global but as soon as gsync is enabled on an app it reactivates

Setting ULMB in driver and osd clears the LED/gsync in OSD and there is no flickering what so ever

No1 - if it flickers like that something is wrong i would assume, it's not normal for it to do that

No2 - why do you want to disable Gsync? this is the best thing since sliced bread..

I don't want to disable it. It should only work when I flash a game up, at the moment it is continuously on.

Right now it isn't flickering

i think it's normal...Gsync is always on (?!) like i said...it's better that way for everything.

Never really took time to check this on my monitor but all i know is i have absolutely no issues in windows running 144hz and whenever i launch a game (any game) Gsync does it's job...beyond this i'm of no help, sorry :(

Good luck!

Honestly if it's a big problem RMA it. I've heared some things about it and apparently that happens a lot. If you have the chance I would buy warranty if it's not too expensive

Well as it's only 6 hours old I'm hoping my retailer will exchange it

That's a real bummer. Definitely try and return it to the retailer. I hope you don't have to go through the process of an RMA, because Asus is not fun to deal with.

Just tried it on other PC with a 670 GTX on Windows 10, initially it worked. Seems as soon as you touch the OSD settings it has a hissy fit

That's not normal at all. I've had a swift for over a year now and never encountered the flickering/blurry text issues.
