You've probably noticed all the rumours surronding the pascal gpu release. From what I understand, right now they're saying the release will be somwhere between April and June. Just wondering if this is just baseless speculation, or if there is anything that backs up these rumours.

They're not rumors.  They're legitimate so no need to worry, the Nvidia fairy will come to have sex with your wallet soon enough.

Very unlikely Nvidia will announce specs right before launch. We don't even have the 960ti yet. And we're most likely a year from something stronger/replacing the 980ti.

Sorry I swore in your topic. Just gets irritating seeing the misinfomation spread the way it does.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

No problem, only looking for something in the 1070/1080 range anyways, so hopefully they will arrive earlier.

My guess is we see the 960ti and 750ti replacement first, with a possible Titan 2x. If Nvidia is smart, and they usually are. They'll wait to see how the Polaris architecture works. Not how it is on paper, but works. So maybe a q3 1080.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Yea, they will still be with GDDR5 Memory... and when stuff works like it did the past years, it will come so. But you know often you need to wait an additional time before you actually can buy them without overpaying. This is how Hardware sells work.

That's fine with me. Not in a hurry as my 860 is fine for the moment, as I'm only gaming at 1080p with most games being at least 6 years old(I have alot of catching up to do before I seriously need an upgrade).

Do you have a citation for that?

This is just the sheme it worked all years before. "x00" chipset for the professional market first bringing enough time to roll out "x04" chip for the consumer grade. Thats why its an estimation. Underlined by the estimation of wccfftech:

"Previous reports have stated that the GP100 ‘big’ pascal chip will hit the professional market first, giving time for green to roll out the GP104 chip to the mainstream consumer segment (followed by GP100 at a later date).  The GM200 taped out in June and hit the shelves in March. That is a total time of approximately 9 months. The GM204 on the other hand took only five months to hit the shelves from its tape out date. At this schedule we can tentatively expect the Pascal architecture GPUs next year (2016) in late second quarter."

Yep, all rumors. But the article is careful to state that, while you used "will".

Please don't try to pass rumors off as facts, pet peeve of mine.

well i havent. Infact "x04" chips allways gotten released first. So 1070's and 1080's will infact be released first for consumer grade.

The release date is a speculation.

No, taken from your own citation.

"Now that we have set aside, lets talk about the actual lineup. Maxwell currently has a total lineup of 6 dies. These are: GM 200, GM204, GM206, GM107 and GM 108. Traditionally, the flagship die lands first. However, Nvidia has been mixing up this formula from time to time."

Nothing is know, and nothing will be known until the announcement from Nvidia. Like the 960ti, where is it. Same site said we'd have it.

Yea flagship will land first for the professional market. But not for consumer. You are ripping stuff out of context. NVM, im not here to discuss with people that are only targeting posting in this forum to find someone to "beef" with. Have a nice one.

WHAT!?! You said "will", you fought for "will", and when I prove your evidence is flawed you turn it on me?

You're spreading misinformation using rumors, and your source for the rumors has been wrong in the past. This is on you.
