Windows 10 overclocking my cpu

So I upgraded to windows 10 around 2 months ago didn't notice this at first but my temps where a bit higher under load when gaming ~70c. So I checked my task manager to see my speed and my cpu ghz was higher then stock settings. I don't overclock since my motherboard is a micro atx it pretty much can't you can even see my stock settings on the task manager. Iv seen it go from 4.0 to 4.1 ghz nothing wrong just something id like to share.

I think that your CPU could be turboing itself. Most of the newer CPUs can do that right out of the box.

Your cpu can turbo itself based on power saving and how much power it thinks it needs for some applications.

windows task manager is broken, dont pay attention to what it says

use CPU-Z or hwmonitor or some other piece of software to know your CPU frequency
