Hi guys....I'm trying to decide what Case Fans to buy for my rig when i start buying all the parts. Are the Stock Fans great already? ..been searching and searching case fans on newegg and etc...but it is hard to find the most reliable of them all :(

I'm planning to  overclock the cpu and gpu so i'll probably need a top of the line case fans when things go up a notch when i overclock it

Here is my build (a Revised and Improved version now from my previous post) (Final Parts!!) just need feedback on the case fans

is it good already? need options :(

you got 4 nf-f12s in there, it cant be bad. :P

just get some nf-a14, the ones that linus uses in his heatsink testing videos. Noctua=awesome.

noctua fans are really good, however alot of people don't like the colour. I would say go for the nf-f12 for your radiator, and then go for a nh-s12 for the case.

Here is the link to noctuas website.http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=which_fan_is_right_for_me&lng=en

I dont think any case fan is any good aslong it is not made by a descrete fan manufacteur.

put 2 nf-a14s as exhaust on your X60, and fill the rest of your case with NF-F12 as intakes, just connects them all directly to your psu with some 7V adapters. Quiet, and powerful.

if you read the page, it says that the nh-f12 is good for radiator and heatsinks, the nf-s12 is good for case ventilasation and quietness, but not for heatsinks, and the nf-p12 is an all rounder.

if you read noctuas page, it says the nh-f12 is not good for a case fan, it would be better going with a nf-s12.

So the kraken x60 is 2  140mm fans? in that case 2 140mm fans then.

hmmm....but will that affect me though especially when overclocking and etc? since i'll probably overclock the cpu and the gpu from the start. sorry i'm a total newbie in these kinda stuff. .

what i'm asking is is it really a good idea putting all the case fans and connect it directly to the psu?

how about connecting most into the mobo and just put the leftovers to the psu?

;_;

If you really want to monitor and controll all your fans, you can plug your mobo full of fans, but keep in mind, you will have to run all the wires to the headers, which will make your system look much less tidy. Also when running a high end watercooling system like a X60, the performance gain from beeing able to run the fans at full speed is very little, but the difference in noise is quite big.

For a beginner, I will always recommned leaving your fans running at a fixed rpm where there's a nice balance between performance and noise.

If you want to oc your cpu this also helps to make your coolers potential more consistent and easier to predict what heat load it can handle.
