Try using Ultrasurf on a USB device?

You're in school for a reason...which is to learn.

There is a reason for the school to block social media and entertainment...which is to prevent you(the student) from getting distracted.

So why don't you try not wasting your time by trying to figure out how to get onto social media/entertainment and focus on your courses and course material.

Ty.

Why do you need social media or games unless you have to wait at the school for 40 minutes for a bus?

There are reasons for why schools try their best and block this. My school doesn't block it, but can throw out students for being on social media or playing games too much during lessons... I like that idea.

Ignoring morale, if you have a big data plan for your phone, set up a hotspot and connect the computer to it?

the Ultrasurf chrome extension works pretty well for me. Just be sure to remove it when you log off or some administrator may notice it.

EDIT- And try to stay off the pr0n when at school. With great power, comes great responsibility.

A LOT of schools will block the ports that vpns work off of. I work as an IT admin and ive set up a lot of these.

The high school I went to did something similar. My solution was to setup my home VPN so that it used port 80 TCP. Worked flawlessly since only a complete idiot would think about blocking port 80 TCP traffic. (normal web traffic would be blocked as a side effect)

However since I didn't use my vpn to bypass school blocks I have no idea how to tunnel my traffic through it like most people do with vpns so don't ask me how to do that :P I instead used it to connect to my home network so that I could access my files. TCP made it really slow but at least it worked! Now that I'm in university I think I can use any port as I changed it to a random UDP port and everything's fine.
