PC or Laptop for HS Student

I'm going to do some web browsing, office editing, Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign, and CS:GO (medium settings with a stable 150+ fps at 1024x768 would be great).

Would you suggest a 600 USD laptop or a 400 USD PC?

If so, please suggest what laptop or PC parts should I go to.

Go for a laptop. Anything with a 940M or better (950M/850M/960M/860M) will work

Well, I was stupid. I'll just go with a laptop then, since I'm gonna bring it to school. What's the best specced laptop for about 500~500 USD? Preferably 14 inches.

Video-editing and CS:GO. Also, most of the laptops at the price range have 940M's.

Personally, I'd highly recommend a Lenovo Y40 or Y700 14' edition. Those usually for around 700$ though so going further down to say a Lenovo Z50 with a 940M/840M (though 840M is roughly 15% slower) or a Acer V3 Nitro or Asus N550

depends, if you are going to be doing the work at school, than of course you need a laptop, but if it's mostly homework, get a PC, you'll get much more power and headroom for around $400~500
