I want to build a cheap gaming pc under my desk, with 1 ultra-wide 29'' or 34'' LG monitor and a samsung 42'' tv, but I eventually would like to have 3 of those monitor next to each other. anybody a suggestion for a cheap but good GPU?

should I go for 1 card or multiple cards etc etc.

thank you, Mike

If you're going cheap, you'll probably want multiple cards, but then again since you're buying multiple cards, you might as well get a single card.

Shoot for 4gb of VRAM. If you go 2-cards, VRAM doesn't stack. So two, 2gb cards will only get you 2gb of VRAM, not 4.

Get a 970 for single cards

Maybe a R9 390 or R9 380 if you can't afford a 390.

Since you're planning on getting 3 monitors for your setup, vram is really important - so anything below 4GB is a no no.

Now you need to ask yourself what kind of games are you going to play, are they not that demanding? If the answer is yes, you'd be fine with a 4GB GTX 960 (this would be as low as I'd go but it really depends on your budget) model and you still can play modern AAA games at decent settings.

But if you need something more than that, go for GTX 970 or R9 390 - best price per performance ratio, enough vram and powerfull cards overall. R9 390 would be a go to card if it's not 50$ more expensive than GTX 970 like it is in my country. So if the price is the same, get r9 390.

I don't really have a budget but as cheap as possible as long as it's still a good system!
I already have a gaming laptop (ACER Preadtor 17)
and 2 cheap simple pc's (not really for gaming)

still how cheap would it be ?? 'cheap' is a very open word, for example 100$ is already quite expensive for me to buy a keyboard, but for you, judging by your gaming laptop 100$ is a piece of dirt. so how cheap?

of topic but, why do you spend your money on a heavy gaming laptop when you can get a killer PC with gr8 monitor/s for that price and have a relatively good laptop for outside use ?? i really don't understand.

around 300$ for the whole pc, max 350$

I travel a lot and also use my laptop for gaming on 2 monitors, I spend a lot of time outside gaming and gaming with friends so a gaming laptop was a perfect solution for me but now I want a gaming set-up on my room as well beside the laptop.
