HP v3.1 Printer Drivers not installing on Mac

Hi.

I really badly need to install HP drivers on my 2010 MacBook for schooling. The printers we use at school are HP printers (at least some of them) and I need to install the drivers so they work.

I was installing them earlier today but force shut down my laptop a while before it was meant to finish. Since then, it stalls on the 'Writing Files' page and does nothing.

I have attempted to delete the files that were written by following a guide online but it still hangs. Please help, I really need my laptop to be able to print.
