Hi,

I am starting a new project, as of now there is no time limit to this project and the budget mentioned above might be misleading, I am from India and traditionally cost of parts is higher here I have outlined a list of components that gauge what I am looking for, the second gtx 980ti is a down the line addition that i am planning, so discounting that i found this build to be slightly over what I had planned,  the second gtx 980ti is the reason I have considered picking up hx1000i power supply.  Please help me with optimization of this build and why does pcpartpicker show incompatibility when I pick a M.2 with the mentioned build.

V300 in this sort of build? *shudder*

What will this build be used for? Because $2700 is a lot more than $2000.

that SSD is one of the worst you could buy

Ya the second gtx980ti is not a part of the build it will only be added later

So what will this build be used for? Gaming? Rendering? Editing?

You're better off with a 5820K for CAD modelling. It'll overclock like a beast and it'll perform very similarly to the 6700K in gaming. Not sure why the need to have 32GB of RAM when 16GB should be enough for your kind of work and gaming. Also, that PSU is quite overkill, 850W is more than enough.

Anyway, here's my revised edition of your build. It's cheaper as well which is quite nice:

but the ddr4-3000 wouldnt work as 5820 supposedly cant support it

http://ark.intel.com/products/82932/Intel-Core-i7-5820K-Processor-15M-Cache-up-to-3_60-GHz.

It'll downclock to 2133 mhz out of the box, but if you enable XMP and overclock the 5820K a little you can reach 3000 mhz.

It will be Cad modelling and gaming rig

A Samsung 850 EVO ssd is a good choice, but performance would not noticeably suffer if you went with a less expensive model.

Most CAD software is very lightly threaded so the i7-6700K is a very good choice. If however a lot of rendering is done, then an 8-core cpu would be a better choice. Z170 is newer than X99. (In addition to the PCIe lanes on the cpu, The Z170 chipset supports an additional 20 PCIe 3.0 lanes. Not that any motherboard currently uses that many.)

I would spend less on the motherboard. The Asus Z170 Pro would be my choice.

A 1000W psu is more than needed, even for dual SLI. Consider going with an 850W unit instead.

The memory choice should be changed to a 2x16GB memory kit to allow for an upgrade to 64GB without replacing modules.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
