Hello! First off, I am not going to buy either of these builds, one is not good enough for me and the other one is out of my price range. This is more of a hobby/fun thing to do, I just want to hear your opinions about these builds, so that, when it comes to actually choosing stuff for my build, I'll have some experience. Here we go:

Build 1 - Home PC / Casual Gaming PC

This build is supposed to be a mid-range PC for a person who is a heavy internet user (videos, downloading stuff, music, lots of tabs opened at the same time) and likes to play some casual, not very demanding games from time to time. Here's the build:

APU: AMD A10-7870K

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XN-WIFI

Case: Fractal Design Node 202

Power supply: SilverStone SST-ST45SF

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB

Build 2 - High-end Gaming PC

This build is supposed to be a high-end PC for a person who plays a lot of games and wants them to be very smooth even at high settings, playing on a 1440p monitor, and who wants to enjoy high framerates in newest titles for the next few years. Here's the build:

CPU: Core i5 6600K

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7

Case: Fractal Design Define R5

Power supply: EVGA Supernova GS 650W

RAM: Kingston HyperX Savage 16GB

GPU: MSI Radeon R9 390

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB

HDD: Seagate 2TB HDD

So, what do you think of my choices?

Not bad, some of the choices can be exchanged with other options without much impact for personal taste or brand preference.

I wouldn't recommend a smaller SSD unless you're really looking to save money. I find I often use over 120GB on my 250GB SSD. Care to elaborate on the not buying samsung? I have an 840 EVO and no issues at all.

Samsung is super reliable but that comes at a premium that might not be logical right now

I agree. Samsung is a very reputable brand that produces high quality SSDs. As for sizes, 500GB seems just about right for a network/games PC, and 2TB is a must for a gaming PC, all those games, 30 games Steam library can take up 600GB
