Rating Intel CPU's

Go to solution Solved by i_build_nanosuits,

the i7-5820K is greatly superior to both the other quad-core CPU.

it has 6 cores + hyper-threading so it can handle 3 times as much threads.

5820K (1) 6600K (2) 4690K (3)

5820K Is "Slower" than the 6600K In games but wins multi tasking, where if you play a game like GTA You need it.

My current build - Ever Changing.

Number 1 On LTT LGA 1150 CPU Cinebench R15

Can someone help me rate these 3 processors from 1-3(ofc)?

Intel Core i5 4690K

Intel Core i7 5820K

Intel Core i5 6600K

Rate them after general geming performance!

1. 6600k

2. 4690k

3. 5820k

some cpu heavy games might bring the 5820k (overclocked to 4 Ghz+) to the 1st or 2nd place but the 4690k will always be under the 6600k

So 5820K in the most demanding games? (Crysis 3, Farcry4 Ultra, GTA V ect.)

6600K in less demanding hi-fps games? (CS:go, Team fortress ECT.)

4690K in allround experiences? (LOL, DOTA ect.)

ps. im really bad at games, so i did proboably not make good examples

it doesn't work like that, some games just like cpus alot.. (GTA V)

but the 4690k is never better than the 6600k at the same frequency

please list the actual games that you want to play, that will make it alot easier :)

Im doing kind of a challenge. Im going to plann 3 builds. They're gonna be built in the corsair 250D, 350D and 450D. It is goint to be Lan/bring to a friend computers. The most powerful one is going to be the 450D and 250D the wheakest one. For Gpu's i can use the 380, 380X and the fury-non x. I have to link the CPU's with a GPU that it will work good with each other. Crossfire is of course an option(but the 250D is miniITX, so it wont work on that build).

The 250D build is more of a compact computers for mmo games like LOL.

The 350D is going to be more powerful, and it will be a computer you can bring to friends and play online shooter ect.

The 450D build is a powerful gaming computer for big Lan's and other stuff when tough games is the thing.

Same hardware can not be used in diffrent builds, but similar hardware in same computer is allowed ofc. Like crossfire.

There is no budget, but I have to stick with the 5820K, 4690K and 6600K processor, and R9 380, R9 380X and R9 Fury for GPU's.

Please come with matches of CPU's and GPU's that would be good for gaming.

All help works

PS: If something was unclear i can try to explain.

Example:

450D build;

CPU: 6600K

GPU: 380X

Crossfire: NO

350D build;

CPU: 4690K

GPU: 380

Crossfire: YES

ect.

in every catagory of games there will be gpu and cpu bound games, please specify exactly which games you will be playing/testing.
