Loop planning, many questions

So first question I basically know what I want for my loop....
EK blocks with lots of Monsoon in between. 

So the question involves I know what I want but haven't necessarily been able to find what I want.  I have been basically looking at performance pcs....it is close they are just missing a couple main things like res end caps that screws everything up :P

You mean plugs like theses to cap off open ports:

Also note most components like a res will provide caps for extra ports leaving you usually with two open ones.

It doesn't look like there are many other places currently carrying it just yet, your best bet may be to contact Performance PC or Monsoon directly to see if more stock will come in or for alternative options.

I have been talking to Gene (boxgod) getting measurements etc....I guess the next question is where do I get my end caps :P

So question 2....how does one make the choice that they need 1 pump or 2..?  It has occurred to the loop will be a tad on the long side....

In general for a loop you wouldn't need more than one pump, a D5 is pretty much one of the best watercooling pumps and can handle fairly large loops, with two GPU's and CPU it will not be an issue for it.

They have theses kinds of end caps but are designed as side outlets however:

So the plan is to do mount the res' (or how ever you say more than 1 res :P) on their side on the acrylic piece (that you have seen me talking about) that I am getting made.  The acrylic will include a hole for this....

so I can pass the tube below to the tube....that is hidden behind a 480 rad.....from the rad up to blocks and back around.

I will say I am being totally honest 2 res' is for the look...nothing more :P

I had planned to use a single port out the end with the two side ports single port to get to the pass through so I don't have to measure things I can't cut exactly :P especially when I am looking at them on a website.  

Using the two side ports on that to connect the two res' together.

Total I want

A blank end cap and single port with two side ports...one the first res

And single port and a cap with two side ports on the second res.

 

All this is in a Core X9 case if it helps you visualize it.

for me 480mm is too low for two 980tis... get another rad with that..

i would get another rad like 240 280 or 360 personally.

also what fans are you going to be running? and rpm?

Thicker rads only give maybe a few degrees of difference usually where longer rads outshine them easily. You would have enough rad space for a the dual GPU and CPU but more rads also allow for dead silent operation while at load and even overclocked.

I have a 4790k under the CPU block and dual 980Ti SC+s under the GPU blocks under the GPU blocks....I think I ranked in the ranks of the insane if I don't overclock.  

So two part question....if I am adding a second rad are there rads with ports on both ends...?  And if so how easy is it to rads....I have been looking white rads to match color.

Crossflow rads have ports on opposite ends if you want to have ease to tube routing.

So if you wanted a coolant color that wasn't the standard RGB....how would you do it?  Dye or pastel or....what?

What color were you interested in there are quite a lot of options out there premixed but you can get clear or white pastel fluid and dyes to custom color it.

I want purple....which I have found a couple options...my initial idea was to use the mayhems pastel....and then have wavered since on that idea seeing all the stuff about pastels lately.

Usually  6-12months, closer to 12 or if there is issues with the loop like a sudden increase in temps

I would recommend Primochill Advance LRT it's pretty much some of the best tubing out there.
