Taking Ram out? No post. Put it back in? Post.

So, I took out a stick of my 2133mhz G.Skill Ripjaws (4gb) memory to put in another system to see if it would post (it did) but when I tried to boot my PC back up, the fans will spin up, but the lights on my keyboard wont turn on, and my PC won't post. What could cause this? I tried taking my CPU overclocks off, but nothing helped.

is the ram stick in correctly? sometimes it's a millimeter off and then it doesnt do anything.

Try reseating the RAM a bunch of times. It took 10 reseats for my garage PC to run stable

 

 

Did you put the ram back in your computer?

Check your motherboard manual to make sure which stick should stay in if you are operating with only one stick of ram. You might have taken out the stick that was in the primary slot.

Does it recognize all the ram?
