hi. Guys, I recently moved to a new place with internet included since I was using my isp router, I had to get a new one. I went to a garage sale and picked up a cheap router. since I started have been using this router I have experienced lag spikes.

I have tested my connection with ethernet, and I didn't experience any lag spikes. the problem with this is however that I can't have an ethernet cable across the entire house.

What model router is it?

Also, what do you have it connected to? What is your connection to your ISP?
