Might be selling my Z97 stuff to move to Z170 & was hoping to see if I can get a decent asking price opinion from people.

Reason for z170:

I love overclocking and competing on hwbot.org, and Z170 gives A LOT more points right now, so I'd like to spend a tiny bit on the upgrade after selling my old stuff.

Intel XTU benchmark is massively inflated on Skylake, I got 1419 points @ 5550 mhz on my 4790k on dry ice, and you can get nearly 1800 points with a 6700k @ 5 ghz!

Not to mention having a new platform will be nice, and more m.2 support would be cool, in case I ever get an m.2 SSD

To be clear, I'm not trying to sell anything in this thread, only asking for price opinions!

I was thinking of asking around $500-ish shipped for the lot, but I'm not sure.

I have a Gigabyte Z97X-SOC Force, an extremely high bin 4790k, and very good DDR3 for anyone that enjoys overclocking I think the combo would be well suited for them.

One of the RAM kits is 1600 7-8-7-24 G.Skill 2x2GB Ripjaws "PSC", the other is G.Skill TridentX 2x4GB 2400 mhz 9-11-11-31

The 4790k does 5 Ghz 24/7 on air/water @ 1.33vcore, CPU is delid and I have original box, so warranty will be no problem if you re-seal the IHS.

The only subzero cooling I've tested the CPU on is dry ice, but if these results are anything to go buy at only around -60c, the CPU on Ln2 should be absolutely crazy 6 ghz or more in Cinebench R15, and 6.2+ on HWBOT Prime.

Cinebench R15 @ 5814 mhz 1.655 volts, Ln2 pot was -55 celsius under load

XTU 5.55 ghz, no slow mode @ 1.621v on DICE

HWBOT Prime @ 5957 mhz 1.69v DICE

The TridentX 2x4 kit is Samsung based memory and does 2860 9-12-12-17 1T  @ 2.15v or so, 2800 9-12-12-17 1T 2.1v.  I don't run this 24/7 only for benchmarking.

High voltage on Samsung RAM with a good PCB is perfectly fine & safe, never seen any type of degradation or any issues with the RAM whatsoever.
(There are more submissions on my hwbot results of them at 2828 mhz and above fully tight)

I don't think you will find people that can appreciate the value of that chip

you might get something on HWBot or overclockers forum

You're probably the only real hardcore overclocker here ))))

I want to be like you when I grow up (and I'm already 25)

you will get more for the money if you sell them separately and yeah that cpu with that kind of OC headroom I would sell on like a OC-ing forum because they will appreciate the value more
