Help-Line: "Hello sir, how may I help you?"

 

Customer:"Hi, I was using my PC and outta now where, it just turned off and cut to black! What's wrong?

 

HL: "Okay sir, no need to panic, there should no permanent damage. Now, could you please ensure that all cables are properly inserted and accounted for [count cables], then turn it on again."

 

[silence]

 

C: "No, it won't start. It's dead."

 

HL: "Okay sir, can you check the PC is plugged into the mains please. I know it's trivial, but we have to make sure."

 

C: "Well I can't f****** do that can I!?"

 

HL: "Sir, please don't swear, why can't you?"

 

C: "There's a power cut and I can't see."

 

[silence]

 

HL: "Okay sir, please box up the PC and return it to the store ASAP."

 

C: "What the f***, why the bloody hell should I do that!?"

 

HL:  "Sir, it's because you're too retarded to own it."

 

 

Fired and sued. :) The story of my friend.

Well, I kinda agree with the help line if a customer was calling about their PC not turning on when there's a bloody power cut...
