Memory Question

Hey guys,

I just have a quick question for you all.

Do you know if it's normal to pay slightly more for the same memory just because it's a different colour?

I wouldn't imagine this would be normal but I could be proven wrong.

It's just a colour, sometimes they are more expensive, sometimes not. In Canada the NZXT Source 210 Black costs $20 less than the white version.

Yes, I'm pretty sure this happens so that merchants can sell as many modules as possible without having a bunch of one left over.

I guess more people like a certain colour, so they can change the price depending on that to make more money.

Agreed. I think it's just a marketing scheme. People buy a certain colour of memory. The merchants see a rise in popularity in those prices. The marketing team cranks up the price.
