Windows 10 on new SSD

Go to solution Solved by Munkytron,

no

okay thanks I'm taking the leap now

On my previous machine, I had windows 10 installed on a 1tb HDD which i reused when building my new PC with a SSD in it. Installed windows 10 on the SSD, but when making partitions I saw that the system reserved partitions were all in the 1 tb HDD.

Is it possible to move all these system reserved partitions to the SSD???

Attached screenshot to make things clearer, basically can i move the reserved stuff from OLD BLUE to SSD??

That's why it's recommended to unplug the HDD when installing windows to SSD. Windows is STRANGE.

just backup your data that you need to

then reinstall windows 10 on the ssd

you won't loose your activation

once you have backuped the data..you can wipe out that hdd and its partitons and then remake it as 1

If you need remote help fixing something on your computer

I can help over Teamviewer if you wish

just msg me on my profile

what about bitlocker encryption, won't it prevent the removal of the system reserved partitions??
